SIKOn 1 January 2015, SIK – the Swedish Institute for Food and Biotechnology formed a new unit in the parent company SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden. The name of the unit is SP Food and Bioscience.SP is a leading international research institute. We work closely with our customers to create value, delivering high-quality input in all parts of the innovation chain, and thus playing an important part in assisting the competitiveness of industry and its evolution towards sustainable development. With a staff of over 1,400, of whom half are graduates and about 300 are research scientists, the Group’s personnel constitute is an important knowledge resource. The SP Group is owned by the Swedish state via RISE AB.
